Summer Institute 2020 on-campus programs are cancelled. Instead, we have launched innovative online programs designed to introduce high school students to new artistic ideas, build skills and strengthen portfolios while they earn 1.5 college credits.

Art, Media & Design
Experiment, build skills, and expand your perspective on contemporary artmaking during 4-weeks of college-level art + design courses, critiques, and visits to Philly's museums and cultural institutions.
Expand your writing practice and develop your voice in a constructive workshop setting that focuses on contemporary approaches to creative nonfiction, fiction, poetry, and scriptwriting across 4-weeks.
Develop both physically and artistically in this 3-week program under the guidance of internationally renowned dancers and choreographers within a community that is as serious about dance as you are.
The Kimmel Center & the University of the Arts present this dynamic 2-week intensive, where instrumentalists and vocalists explore technique, repertoire, and performance while working with master-level artists.
Music Industry & Technology
Merge your love of music with professional skills—including recording, mixing digital audio, and streaming— while collaborating with peers and professionals and gaining real-world experience during this 3-week program.
Deepen your individual artistry and sharpen your performance skills, working closely with exceptional theater professionals who will challenge and inspire you in this 4-week program.
2-Week Studio Workshops
These visual arts workshops deliver the same superior faculty in an abbreviated schedule, focusing on one subject area for two weeks of studio time and exploration.
