Alumni Benefits & Services

Membership in the University of the Arts Alumni Association is granted upon graduation and is free. We encourage you to take advantage of the member benefits and services listed below.

Alumni Events
From receptions and reunions, to special events with the president and showcasing students, enjoy alumni gatherings in the Philadelphia area and around the country. Check out the calendar of events.

Alumni ID Cards
To receive your permanent alumni ID, email your name, graduation year, permanent address and a digital photo to alumni@uarts.edu. You should receive your ID in the mail within one to two weeks. You’ll need it to attend UArts events at the student rate, for building access and library privileges, and other alumni benefits. You may also visit the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations in Hamilton Hall to receive your alumni ID (320 S. Broad St., 1st floor, Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.).

Alumni Information
Contact the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations at 215-717-6140 or alumni@uarts.edu to update your contact information. You can also complete a contact information update form online. We’d love to keep you informed of alumni events in your area but can’t send you invitations if we don't know where you live! 

Arden Theatre
Enjoy a $5 discount on theatre tickets (based on availability) at Philadelphia’s Arden Theatre (Saturday night excluded). Tuesday night preview tickets are also available to alumni for $10. Alumni cards must be presented when picking up tickets at the box office. Call 215-922-1122.

Fee Waivers and Legacy Scholarship for Children of Alumni
UArts will waive the $60 application fee for children of alumni applying for full-time undergraduate or graduate enrollment. Children or dependents of University of the Arts alumni may be eligible for a Legacy Scholarship if they are not receiving a Merit Scholarship. The Legacy Scholarship provides a 10 percent reduction on tuition. For more information, contact the Office of Admissions at 800-616-ARTS or  admissions@uarts.edu.

Philadelphia Chamber Music Society

Programs for Kids and Teens
The university’s Pre-College Saturday School (for high school students) and Saturday Arts Lab (for students in grades K through eight), as well as the Pre-College Summer Institute (for high school juniors and seniors), offer outstanding programs for young artists. Children of UArts alumni receive a 10 percent discount on tuition. Additional funds are available for scholarship applicants. Publications
Alumni receive Edge magazine annually. The publication contains articles about new developments in the arts, spotlights on UArts faculty and students, alumni profiles, and class notes. View the most recent issue of Edge.

Edge (formerly Verge) is also a monthly e-newsletter for alumni and contains information about university-related events, programs, awards, recognitions and other items of interest happening on campus and in our creative community. Join the Edge e-newsletter mailing list.

Rentals
For information on renting a UArts studio, theater or meeting space, contact Karen Cornell Rosenberg, director of campus events, at krosenberg@uarts.edu. Alumni receive a 10% discount off the rental rate.

Replacement Diploma
Visit the Registrar for information on how to receive a copy of your diploma, or call the Registrar’s Office at 215-717-6420.

School Store
Alumni receive a 10% discount on all books and merchandise at the UArts School Store, located at 307 S. 13th Street (between Spruce and Pine streets). Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., and Tuesdays, 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Transcripts
Visit the Registrar for information on how to receive a copy of your transcripts, or call the Registrar's Office at 215-717-6420. The usual fee is $5, and mailing usually takes three to five days.

UArts Events
