I create what feels right with my body. I move in a way that feel right with my body. Sharp, fast movements tend to be my go-to, representing my fast-paced life. I base my movements off the abstract, the quiet, the inconsistent beat in the back of the music, the syllables of the lyrics or the nothingness of the music. I am never resting. I don't rest until the dance is over, just like I don't rest until the day is over. I've always been a hard worker, striving for perfection in all aspects of my life. It took me a while to realize there is no such thing as perfection, but rather to find the beauty in the imperfections. The beauty is in my stumbles, my sickled feet and off-balanced turns because I am learning. Next time, I'll work towards fixing those because that is what life is about. Living and learning.
