Director of Corporate & Community Impact, PECO Energy

For over 11 years, Romona has developed, led, and executed strategic corporate citizenship and philanthropic giving programs, as well as reputational initiatives for PECO. Prior to her current position, she served over eight years as president and CEO of the African American Museum in Philadelphia and executive director of the Philadelphia Multicultural Affairs Congress of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB). Romona has been an event producer for the city-wide PECO Energy Jazz Festival—the first city career-fair focused on opportunities in hospitality for Title 1 schools—and has represented some of the area’s leading nonprofit organizations as a business consultant. Romona’s passion is shown through more than 25 years of leadership in nonprofit, hospitality, meetings and conference management, arts management, and public sector work. She is very active in the Philadelphia area, serving on the boards of the Brandywine River Art Museum, Women of Destiny, Philanthropy Network of Greater Philadelphia, and PHLCVB. Additionally, she chairs the board of directors for the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation. Romona is a patron of the arts, supports equity in education, and is a noted jazz vocalist.
