Dance (MFA)

Originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Miles Yeung began his dance training at the age of 10. He relocated to Philadelphia, PA to continue his training at The University of the Arts with a Presidential Talent Scholarship where he completed his BFA with honors in Modern Performance, while being recognized for Excellence in Modern Performance. Miles was a member of the 2012 Biennale di Venezia, dancing under the direction of Ismael Ivo in the Arsenale della Danza. The company created their own work entitled “Biblioteca del Corpo” which was toured around the Veneto region as well as São Paulo, Brazil. Miles’ performance credits include a variety of works, including Brian Sander’s JUNK (Philadelphia Fringe Arts Festival and national tours), Stacey Tookey’s Still Motion ("Moments Defined”, Los Angeles, CA), Helen Simoneau Danse (Winston Salem, NC) and the Radio City Christmas Spectacular (New York, NY). Miles has assisted Douglas Becker in both his own works and the Forsythe technique at University of North Carolina School of the Arts, the Konservatorium Wien in Vienna, Austria, the Centre National de la Danse in Paris, France, and at The University of the Arts.
