UArts Pre-College Summer Institute for High School Students - Sculpture Faculty - Hope Rovelto
Faculty

Hope Rovelto is an artist, educator, and activist based in Portland, ME.  She earned her MFA in Ceramics from Rochester Institute of Technology and her BFA in sculpture from Maine College of Art. She is the owner of Little Chair Printing, a custom screen-printing shop, and an Artist Member at Pickwick Independence Studios (ME).

Hope has been an Admission Counselor for Maine College of Art and has taught various courses at The University of the Arts, Tyler School of Art - Temple University (PA), Philadelphia University (PA), Guldagergaard International Ceramic Research Center (Denmark), The Clay Studio (PA), and Abington Art Center (PA).  Additionally, she has worked at Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts (ME), Arrowmont School of Craft (TN), Penland School of Craft (NC), and Oxbow (MI).  Hope was fellow at Wheaton Arts Center for Glass (NJ) and has participated in residencies at Greenwich House Pottery (NY), and Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts, where she is currently on the Board of Directors.
