Dance (MFA)

Melvin Clark is a native of Washington, D.C., who began his training at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts and attended University of the Arts, where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts. He trained at The Ailey School, where he was invited to join Alvin Ailey Repertory Company. He also trained at Pacific Northwest Ballet and Pennsylvania Ballet.

Clark has performed with Tokyo Disney, Hairspray, Sacramento Music Circus, Avatar by James Cameron and Something New. He has appeared on The Goldbergs, Teen Wolf, Insecure, On My Block, Freeridge, Code 3 and Masters in Choreography at the Kennedy Center – Donald Mckayle, as well as in Dance Spirit magazine. He has taught for the Summer Dance Lab at Whitman College, Walla Walla, Washington, and AileyCamp. Additionally, Clark has directed and produced Mystic Gala in Japan. He is honored to be part of the Master’s program.
