Jasmine Elizabeth Johnson is an assistant professor of Africana Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Her work explores the politics of Black movement, including dance, diasporic travel and tourism. Johnson’s work has been supported by the Ford Foundation, the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, the National Endowment for the Humanities and elsewhere.
