Inna Leonov-Kenny is an adjunct professor with a background in immersive 3-D animation.

Biography

Inna Leonov-Kenny was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, when it was still a part of the Soviet Union. She got her love of drawing from her artist father, and her obsession with animation from a bootleg black-and-white copy of Disney’s Snow White. After her family emigrated to the U.S., Leonov-Kenny studied digital art at Drexel University in Philadelphia and eventually joined Spitz Inc., where she spent the next 20 years helping create fulldome planetarium shows that are now shown in immersive theaters worldwide.

Experience

As an animator/3-D generalist, Leonov-Kenny contributed to every part of the fulldome show creation process, including previz, environment design, character animation, prop modeling, camera work, and post FX. Her work can be seen in award-winning planetarium shows including Oasis in Space: 2022, Atlas of a Changing Earth, Birth of Planet Earth, Faster Than Light, and Solar Superstorms.

In June 2023, she was invited to participate in an international jury panel for Fulldome Festival Brno in Czech Republic.
