Where are you from: I was born in Piedimonte Matese, a small town in the proximity of Naples, Italy. I lived most of my life in Perugia, Italy.

Undergraduate University: IULM University (Milan, Italy)

What fuels their passion for museums: I want to serve as a micro activist in the museum field. I would like to facilitate the relationship between museums and their community/ies of reference. I believe in an interdisciplinary approach that embraces gender and critical race theory in museum practice.

Favorite museum memory: Once, me and my partner were walking through a contemporary art exhibition. A guard approached us while we were observing this unique installation and challenged us to engage with the piece from a different perspective. It was such a meaningful interaction which made me fall in love with museum work even more.

Concentration in program: Audience Engagement.

Industry conferences/workshops attended: Museum Next’s Next Generation Summit 2022, VEX 2023.

Professional / Civic Affiliations: AAM member.

What type of museum do you want to intern/work for and why: I would like to work in an art museum that embraces diversity. I want to be part of a team of professionals who are changemakers and believe in the power of museums to act as an authoritative voice in transnational debates about equity and human rights. What do you hope to contribute to a professional job/internship: I am a highly sensitive person who takes pride in her emotional intelligence. I am a critical thinker who questions everything and is not afraid to bring up difficult questions. Museums are made of people for people. I believe in the possibility of shifting museum practice from being theoretical to being actionable.

What do you hope to learn in a professional job/internship: I would like to gain insight into the process of engaging with the audience on different levels. I definitely am interested in the curatorial department, specifically understanding how an institution takes into account the needs of the visitors at every step of the process. I am also intrigued by the work of the marketing department in terms of data collection and analysis, as well as structuring of the communication plan.
