Janet Iafrate

I am so happy to be teaching with Pre-College. Originally from West Virginia, I moved to Philadelphia in 2007 and it has slowly but surely become home. I received my Bachelor’s degree in English at Fordham University in Bronx, NY, and a Master’s degree in English and film at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in Northern England. Since then, I have been very fortunate to teach English and creative writing in secondary schools and as part of community organizations around Philadelphia. While free time always seems scarce, I do enjoy my mandolin, writing, film, and anything having to do with my niece and nephew.
