Welcome to UArts!
To welcome you and your family to our community of artists, designers, performers and writers, we’ve created an event for you called Admit One.
During Admit One, you’ll get a taste of what it’s like to be a student on a campus full of inspiration. You’ll meet current students, hear from faculty and alumni, and get to know your future collaborators. Your creative adventure starts here!
Admit One 2024 will be held in person on April 13, 2024.

Schedule of Events
Admit One
Saturday, April 13, 2024
You’ll spend the day on campus connecting with students, faculty, alumni and your fellow creatives. There will be breakout sessions by school and discipline and an information fair where you can learn more about life on campus, clubs, organizations and student activities. You’ll also be able to meet with our financial aid counselors to ask any financial questions you may have. Campus tours will be available throughout the day.

- Q&A with the Deans from the schools of art, dance, design, film, music and theater
- 10:15 a.m.–11:45 a.m.
- Admitted Students: Breakout sessions by school and/or program Families: Breakout session to learn about student and family support services at UArts
- 12:00–2:00 p.m.
- Information fair with Campus Life, Academic Advising, the UArts Store, student activities and more. Appointments with Student Financial Services will be available to discuss any financial questions you may have.

Ira Brind School of Theater Arts Spring 2023 Events
The Brind School is working with the spring season directors to create dynamic and groundbreaking theater experiences. Performances include musicals, screenplays, workshops and senior projects. All events are ticketed.
BIPOC Feature Mag (BFM)
BFM is a digital magazine showcasing Black, Indigenous and other students of color at UArts, and is published by the DEIA Fellows. The magazine amplifies the work of BIPOC artists by giving them a platform made for them and designed by them.
Dance Festival of Senior Thesis Works & Symposium
Explore senior thesis works and a symposium by Dance students. You can also see projects and exhibitions by School of Dance faculty and guest artists. You’re invited to wander and experience the contents of each project in your own time. Project pages will be available indefinitely, so enter, exit and return as you please.

School of Design First Year Core
The School of Design First Year Core is a unique and critical experience for all undergraduate Design majors. These collaborative courses will expose you to multiple modes of practice and technologies, while providing a solid grounding in design thinking, drawing as thinking, communication, audience and meaning, design technology, and collaboration and team building.

Underground Pool
Underground Pool is the result of student collaboration, featuring work across majors, from writing and visual arts to multimedia and performance. The theme for the 2021 online edition of Underground Pool was “containment.” Underground Pool is published by the Creative Writing program and edited and designed by students in the Creative Writing and Graphic Design programs.
UArts Radio
Supported by the Music Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology BFA program, UArts Radio is an online radio station and blog bringing you the latest in music, culture and events. Students and faculty advisors contribute as bloggers, curators and DJs.
School of Music Student Performances
Watch senior recital and ensemble performances from the School of Music, held in our state-of-the-art, 140-seat Caplan Recital Hall. See where UArts’ ensembles—from ambient, hip-hop and jazz, to funk/New Orleans and big band—perform. “The Caplan” hosts them all.
