Tuition & Housing Deposits

Congratulations on your acceptance to University of the Arts! To accept our offer of admission, as well as reserve a space in campus housing, the following deposits are required.

How To Pay Your Deposit

Tuition Deposit

Tuition deposits are required to reserve a seat in the incoming class and are applied to first-semester tuition charges.

Undergraduate: $300 tuition deposit

  • Fall semester start: Deposits are nonrefundable. A tuition deposit submitted by May 15 guarantees your space in the incoming class. After May 15, deposits will be accepted as long as space is available.

  • Spring semester start: Deposits are nonrefundable. You are encouraged to secure your space within two weeks of receiving your admission decision. Deposits will be accepted after two weeks as space remains in each program.

PhD in Creativity: $600

MFA in Dance: $500

All Online MEd programs, MM in Music Education, and Graduate Certificates in Arts Education and Educational Technology: $150

All other graduate programs: $450

  • Fall semester start: Deposits are nonrefundable. A tuition deposit submitted by May 15 guarantees your space in the incoming class. After May 15, deposits will be accepted as long as space is available.

  • Spring semester start: Deposits are nonrefundable. You are encouraged to secure your space within two weeks of receiving your admission decision. Deposits will be accepted after two weeks as space remains in each program.

  • Summer semester start: Deposits are nonrefundable. A tuition deposit submitted by April 1 guarantees your space in the incoming class. After April 1, deposits will be accepted as long as space is available

Housing Deposit

  • Housing deposits are $200 and are nonrefundable. Housing deposits are only required if you intend to live on campus. For the fall semester, to be guaranteed a housing assignment on campus, your housing deposit must be submitted by May 15 and a housing application must be completed by June 1. Note: A housing deposit cannot be made before the tuition deposit is submitted. After May 15, housing deposits will continue to be accepted while space remains. In the event all available campus housing spaces fill, students will be added to a waitlist for housing. Learn more about housing and the meal plan requirement.

  • To request on-campus housing, submit your housing deposit and complete your housing application. A housing deposit cannot be made before the tuition deposit is submitted and all deposits are nonrefundable.

    • After depositing, you’ll be prompted to set up your UArts email. Then, a link to the Housing portal and instructions will be sent to your UArts email address within one or two business days.

    • Complete the housing application, and watch your UArts email for updates about the roommate selection process that follows. All roommate selections must be made prior to July 1. If you apply for housing after July 1, housing and roommate assignments will be made administratively and communicated throughout the summer.

    • In the event that all available campus housing spaces are filled, students will be added to a waitlist for housing.

    • All new residential students are automatically enrolled in the Platinum meal plan. Learn more about dining.
