Macey is a screenwriter (and puppet enthusiast) from Cherry Hill, NJ who has been writing stories since she was in elementary school. She always loved to try to make other people laugh. She enjoyed short story writing and then play writing in high school but fell in love with screenwriting after watching shows like SNL, How I Met Your Mother, and 30 Rock. She loves mixing the mundane with the absurd in her work and has found that the screenwriting format offered more freedom to express her strange and goofy sense of humor. She recently got back from Austin, where her comedy feature script was a semifinalist in the Austin Film Festival!
There is humor all around us, it’s everywhere you look. And if you look hard enough, the mundane can easily shift into the bizarre. That’s where I thrive.
