Call for Submissions - Young Writers Contest and Scholarship Opportunity

The Pre-College Summer Institute Creative Writing Program is pleased to announce the 2020 Young Writers Contest.
Submission Deadline: March 20, 2020

The Young Writers Contest is a writing competition and scholarship opportunity for the Pre-College Summer Institute Creative Writing Program. The competition is open to students currently in grade 9,10 or 11. Submissions may include poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and/or work in other genres and will be reviewed by the University of the Arts’ BFA program in Creative Writing

• The first-place winner will receive a full-tuition scholarship* to the Summer Institute Creative Writing Program & $150 prize.
• The second-place winner will receive a half-tuition scholarship* to the Summer Institute Creative Writing Program & $50 prize.
