Acting classes were therapy for me. I never felt like my teachers were trying to embarrass me, but they would always say, ‘Don’t come into this class being timid.’ They would have me do these exercises where I would stomp around and be unbridled, and that changed everything for me.

Josiah Wise, or serpentwithfeet as he now known on his debut album soil, loves adding to his tattoo collection. As an alum of the Vocal Performance program at UArts, he is on a national tour sharing his Baltimore roots and his classical opera training.
