M.S. Community and Trauma Counseling specializing in Art Therapy, Thomas Jefferson University
B.A. Early Elementary and Special Education/ American Studies, La Salle University

Preya started her professional journey with UArts as an intern at the Counseling Center for the 2021-2022 school year. Since graduating from Jefferson in 2022, Preya has been committed to serving the young adult and artist population by providing therapy and UArts community services. Through her training, Preya integrates art as a tool during the therapy process by creating a safe space and exploring emotions with a variety of creative materials. As an artist herself, Preya is committed to encouraging the inner artist to strengthen their voice. Preya also partners with students to explore identity, relationships, self esteem, spirituality, and individualized best practices for overall mental health wellness. In the future, Preya is hoping to continue growing her passion with education and counseling by providing workshops, continued higher learning and professional development, and exploring community service travel opportunities.
