I chose UArts because I wanted to be in a city. Having gone to high school in the middle of nowhere (South Central PA) I was ready for the energy of a culturally diverse place. It was more welcoming than New Brunswick, less hectic than NYC, way more interesting than New Haven! And, close to my family. I've had the opportunity to work on a lot of challenging and interesting material since graduating. I make a point to do things that scare me a little bit. UArts taught me the importance of the actor and made me believe in theater as an art form.
