Painting is the only way that I can breathe.

I am enamored with oil paint and potential for alchemy, and find that everyday entering the studio I learn more of the magic of the medium.

I try to keep the energy of the fauvist a wild beast in the studio, ready to make mistakes, experiment and grow.

My philosophy of art-making is similar to my philosophy of breathing: I must make art, I must explore the implications of paint, image, surface, color, or else I’ll be a mad woman.
