Theater - Devised Performance (MFA & Certificate)

Jenn Kidwell is a Philadelphia-based performing artist and a graduate of the inaugural class of the Pig Iron School. Since graduating, Jenn has created and toured original works with Robert Wilson/Toshi Reagon/Bernice Johnson Reagon (Zinnias), Pig Iron Theatre Company (Live Faster, 99 Break-Ups), visual artist Joe Scanlan as Donelle Woolford (Dick’s Last Stand, Whitney Biennial 2014), and David Neumann/advanced beginner group (I Understand Every-thing Better – Bessie Award 2015).

She co-conceived, co-wrote and performed in (along with Pig Iron School classmate Scott Sheppard) Underground Railway Game which enjoyed a sold-out run at the 2015 Philadelphia Fringe Arts Festival. She performed the title role in Antigone at The Wilma Theatre in collaboration with Attis Theatre from Greece. She is currently at work on an original quartet, Those With Two Clocks, with classmates Jess Conda and Melissa Krodman. She is a 2014 resident actor with Pig Iron through Theatre Communications Group’s Fox Foundation Fellowship, through which she receives mentorship with Pig Iron Theatre Company founding members. Jenn is also a proud co-founder of the performance space JACK in Brooklyn.
