Embracing lifelong learning is the most fulfilling way to live life, and the most valuable attribute we can model for our students.

Maria Geiger is an educational technology and college writing instructor. Her interests include blended and flipped learning, digital communication, and integrating media and web tools into curriculum to facilitate student engagement. In addition to teaching and writing, Geiger also serves as director of content and social media at Scholarships360, a digital media company at the intersection of education and personal finance.

She recently presented at the both the 2020 and 2017 Annual Teaching with Technology Showcase: Excellence in Action for NJEDge. Geiger also conducts blended/flipped learning and educational technology integration workshops, including for the New Jersey Writer’s Alliance. Geiger earned a virtual Online Teaching Certificate (VOLT) from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as an MEd in Education, an MA in English Literature and a BA in English from Monmouth University, New Jersey.  

Maria is a 2020 Heterodox Academy (HxA) Writing Fellow. The Heterodox Academy is a nonprofit advocacy group of academics working to increase viewpoint diversity on college campuses.
