UArts Counseling Center provides free, confidential counseling and resources to students who are dealing with conflict, anxiety and/or concerns. The office is staffed by trained and licensed mental health professionals as well as a clinical training program with advanced graduate student interns in clinical social work, counseling and soon-to-be creative arts therapies.

The Peer Counseling Program of the William Way LGBT Community Center offers one-to-one counseling that is confidential and free of charge. We offer short-term, goal-oriented counseling.  Trained peer counselors are available by phone, walk-in, or appointment, Monday-Friday evenings 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Free and confidential.

UArts Health Services is available to all currently matriculating undergraduate and graduate students and can provide referrals to professionals in the area who specialize in working with students who are transgender and/or are thinking about making a transition. The Office also serves as a resource for students providing free condoms and confidential HIV and STI testing. The remaining testing days for the fall semester are November 20 and December 4 from 11:00am—4:00pm.

Founded in 1979, it is the oldest AIDS service organization in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the fourth-oldest in the nation. As the organization grew and evolved to meet the needs of our constituents, Mazzoni Center has combined HIV/AIDS-related services and health services.

Mazzoni Center offers free, confidential, and anonymous rapid HIV testing and confidential STD screening services at our satellite testing location at Washington West Project (1201 Locust Street), and at various off-site locations throughout Philadelphia. Their services are provided in a supportive, non-judgmental environment to assist you in identifying your HIV risks and risks for other sexually transmitted infections. You and your counselor work together to create a realistic plan to help reduce your risk for HIV and other STDs, as well as to promote your health and well-being.

If you test positive for the HIV antibody, you will have an opportunity to meet with a Mazzoni Center specialist who can help you with accessing medical care, disclosing to partners and loved ones, safer sex, re-infection, and treatment adherence. During this session, the specialist will help you identify your emotional and concrete needs and give you referrals for Mazzoni Center services and other providers in the community.

If you test positive for any other STD, information and a referral will be provided for free treatment.

Since barriers to health care can prevent members of lesbian/bisexual/transgender (LBT) communities from accessing the care they need, the Linda Creed has created an outreach program directed to this group of women. Rainbow Circle provides inclusive education, information and services to persons in the LGBT community to encourage and provide access to optimum breast health care.
