Steph Evans is a Learning Access Specialist for the Office of Educational Accessibility. In her role, she helps assist students with academic success coaching and provides them with time management assistance, organization strategies, procrastination tools, and motivational support. In addition to coaching students, Steph also helps students through the accommodation process for the Office of Educational Accessibility.

Experience:

Steph has previous experience working at Rowan University as a graduate assistant for their accessibility services and PATH programs. One of the key components of this role was providing academic coaching to neurodivergent students. Another part of her job was to facilitate office events such as Access and Inclusion Week, Summer Bridge Programs, Student Accessibility Council meetings, and new student orientation events. Before finding a love for working in accessibility services, Steph worked as an intern for Rowan University in their Office of Environmental Health and Safety where she created and executed a composting program in conjunction with dining services on campus. Steph has a passion for environmental sustainability and how that intersects with disability justice.

Why UArts?

After spending all of middle school and high school passionate about singing, playing instruments and participating in art projects, Steph developed a deep love for the arts and even continued with calligraphy art and playing the french horn throughout her time in college. Steph loves to work with students to continue their careers in the arts and is so pleased to be here at University of the Arts!
