Game Art

Robert Nally is a 3-D artist and a game developer from the Philadelphia area. He has been creating game art for about 10 years and teaching for approximately eight years. Nally has been teaching at UArts for two years.

Biography

Robert Nally has a background in computer science with a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and a bachelor’s degree in Game Art from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.

Nally is a freelance digital artist who creates concept art, 3-D models and animation. 

For the past seven years, he has been working on a game tentatively called The Come Up. (The link is included below.) Nally has also worked in information technology and marketing technology, as a 3-D artist for Hit the Sticks LLC and as a creative director for Make or Break Games LLC and other projects and companies. 

Experience

  • Nally is a freelance digital artist creating concept art, 3-D models and animations for Present Brotherly LLC in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.

  • Nally served as director and lead instructor of Internal Drive (iD Tech Camps) in Philadelphia and Villanova for seven years. 

    • He directed camp at the University of Pennsylvania in the summers of 2016, 2017 and 2018.

    • He taught and was lead instructor at the University of Pennsylvania in summer 2015 and at Villanova University.

    • Nally managed students and instructors for iD Tech Gaming Academy and iD Tech Camps.

  • Nally worked as creative director for Make or Break Games LLC.

    • He was an artist on the mobile game Jetpack Cat.

    • He helped design and implement user interface and created 3-D models, textures, sprites and sprite sheet animations, effects, and marketing materials.

    • He engaged in virtual-reality video game development.
