Luci Jockel is an art jeweler located in Philadelphia. Her work seeks to challenge our relationship with the fragility of our environment in order to build an interconnectivity between human and animal. She holds a MFA from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Jewelry and Metalsmithing, 2016, and a BFA in Studio Art from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), 2014. She has instructed courses and workshops at RISD, UArts, and Peters Valley School of Craft. Her work has been shown at various venues, including Schmuck 2018 Munich Fair, New York City Jewelry Week at Pratt Institute, Society of North American Goldsmiths' Portland Conference 2018, and Galerie Marzee's Marzee International Graduate Show 2016 where she received the Marzee International Graduate Prize. Her work has been featured in “New Brooches” by Nicolas Estrada, Metalsmith's “Exhibition in Print 2017”, and American Craft Magazine. In addition to her position as Shop Supervisor and an educator, she maintains a studio practice in South Philadelphia as part of the JV Collective, a group of seven female artists.
