Joe Granato is a graphic designer, a strategic thinker, a creative writer and the creative director of full service creative agency King & Partners in New York City. He is an alum of University of the Arts, and this is his second year returning as a senior lecturer in the Graphic Design department.

Biography

Joe Granato is a graphic designer, strategic thinker, creative writer, and the creative director of full service creative agency King & Partners in New York City. From globally recognized brands to launching new brands to market, he works closely with clients and colleagues to uncover ownable stories, craft unique identities and build thoughtful design systems positioned for success. He is a UArts alum and holds a BFA with honors in Graphic Design. 

Experience

For the past two years, Granato has held the role of Creative Director at King & Partners, a full service creative agency in New York City. There, he has led projects across many categories, from fashion to hospitality, for clients like 

  • Ace Hotel, 
  • Boca Raton Resort & Club, and 
  • The XI. 

Prior to that, he was brand design lead at Red Antler in Brooklyn, New York, where he worked with brands like Theragun and Ursa Major. 

Granato has led teams at New York City branding and advertising agencies and has previously worked with Havas, Ideas on Purpose, Love & War, Publicis, Red Antler and Revolver New York. 

This is his second year returning as a senior lecturer in the Graphic Design department at UArts, where he has also served many times as a guest lecturer and a critic.
