Carolyn Mraz
Carolyn Mraz is an educator at University of the Arts and a Brooklyn-based theater designer. Her longtime collaborations include
- Bushwick Starr: The Things That Were There, Singlet, Infinite Love Party, the upcoming Cabin, and I'll Never Love Again (Hewes Nomination);
- Target Margin Theater: Pay No Attention to the Girl, The Puppet Show and The (*) Inn;
- HERE Arts Center: THISTREE and Thomas Paine in Violence; and
- Spoleto USA: Porgy and Bess, Afram Ou La Belle Swita and the Pay No Attention to the Girl tour.
Other productions include The Other Josh Cohen (Westside Theatre NYC); We Are Proud to Present... and The Dangerous House of Pretty Mbane (InterAct Theatre); I'll Get You Back Again (Round House); Pioneers!#GOFORTH (JACK); Beardo (Pipeline); and Spaceman (Loading Dock).
Carolyn is also an associated artist of Target Margin in Brooklyn and A Host of People in Detroit. She has taught and/or designed at many educational institutions, including the University of New Haven, Smith College, Brown University, the University of Kentucky, Princeton University, Manhattan School of Music, New School University, Hunter College and the University of Rochester. She is a graduate of Oberlin College with an MFA in design from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
