Anna Beresin

Professor Anna Beresin teaches Critical Studies courses like Analyzing Talk, and Folklore and Folk Art, along with Science courses Observing Humans, and Observing Children. She holds two PhDs from the University of Pennsylvania, one in Folklore and one in the Psychology of Education, both completed in 1993. Her area of speciality is children's folklore and the study of play and creativity. Her books include "Recess Battles," "The Art of Play," "Group Motion in Practice," and "The Character of Play." An editor of the "International Journal of Play," she is known for her really bad puns.
