About the Artist
Nevaeh Ryals was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia. During her early development as a young artist, Black art—whether music, dance, or theater—was her inspiration, but her passion also expanded to include visual arts and started attending art classes. Her work still revolves around Black empowerment and capturing moments she witnessed in the Black communities she grew up in.
Nevaeh is a member of the Class of 2024. During her time at UArts, she focused on exhibiting and showing her work to the public, whether at University of the Arts or in private galleries, including Our House Culture Center, Icebox Project Space, Philadelphia International Airport, and other locations.
