Art Education (MAT)

Robin Brewer is a secondary art educator at Garnet Valley High School, Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, who specializes in photography and filmmaking/animation. She was chosen in 2021 as the Pennsylvania Art Education Association/National Art Education Association Pennsylvania Art Educator of the Year.


Robin Brewer earned an MFA in Studio Art from University of the Arts and an MS in Education from Wilkes University. She also holds a BFA in Photography from University of Hawai’i and received her K–12 art education certification from Indiana University.

Brewer attends and presents at both national and state art education conferences. As an active member of the Pennsylvania Art Education Association, she has served as a region representative, president, and webmaster. Currently, Brewer serves on the National Art Education Association Board of Directors as the Secondary Division director-elect.

Awards & Accolades

  • Brewer was named a Pennsylvania Art Education Association 2021 Outstanding Art Educator of the Year and a 2013 Secondary Art Educator of the Year. 

  • She has also been recognized with a faculty award and the Richard and Patricia Henkels Award from University of the Arts.
