REPORTS TO:  Program Director of Photography

Summary:

The Photography Department at University of the Arts located in Philadelphia, PA is establishing a pool of applicants for part time/adjunct positions. Classes will be taught in-person

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Part time faculty are expected to be positive thought leaders and demonstrate a desire to work collaboratively with a diverse student population. The University is particularly interested in reviewing applications from candidates with demonstrated investment in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion, and whose identities and/or professional work intersect with or address historically marginalized communities.

The Part-Time Instructor in Digital Photography is expected to provide special teaching expertise in the following areas;

  • Adobe Lightroom Classic 
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Digital Image File Creation 
  • Digital Moving Image File Creation
  • Image asset management
  • Exhibition inkjet printing
  • Articulation of ideas visually, verbally, and in writing

Education:

  • MFA in Photography or relevant Advanced degree in a related field and/or significant professional experience

Experience:

  • Active and established photographers with a nationally recognized exhibition record
  • Prior teaching experience in digital photography at the college level
