Endowed by its namesake in 1940, the William H. Ely Senior Illustration Thesis Exhibition features art that spans virtually every area of the illustration field, including book and other publishing venues, advertising, entertainment design, comic books, video games, interactive work, store display, and product, game and package design.

Each thesis project is a thoroughly researched and highly developed series of a related body of work based on the student's chosen theme and market. A unique feature of the exhibition is that all of the illustration presented is shown in the context for which it was designed.
