Music - Instrumental Performance (BM)

Kaitlyn is a Saxophone Performance Major at UArts. She is also double minoring in the Music Business, Entrepreneurship, and Technology and Music Education. Kaitlyn’s primary instrument is the alto saxophone, but she is also a passionate songwriter and vocalist. Her latest single, “Cry,” just hit 15k on Spotify! She and her friends started their band Blush last semester and are releasing an album in October 2024.

Kaitlyn's UArts experience informs a word of advice to prospective students and those exploring their creative interesets:

The best piece of advice I could give is to take electives that interest you. I took Songwriting 1 second semester my freshman year on a whim and it completely changed my path! (In the best way possible). Also, try not to compare yourself to others. If you admire someone’s talent, make a connection and learn from them! All of us are here to improve our craft and make friends along the way.
