What fuels their passion for museums: I want to help museums attract new audiences and engage existing ones with dynamic writing from new perspectives.

Favorite museum memory: Watching my students make connections between history, current events, social issues, and art at the New Orleans Museum of Art

Concentration in program: Audience Engagement

Idea about the museum sector that intrigues them: As museums become more siloed from the rest of the nonprofit sector as an independent source of information, I’m interested in how—and how well—museums with fewer resources address the burgeoning need for reliable and accurate information.

Industry conferences/workshops attended: Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums Fall 2023 Fellow, Visitor Experience Conference Fall 2023

Professional / Civic Affiliations: Catch-a-Fire (Volunteer), Museum Hue (Member), MAAM (Member & Fellow), AAM (Member)

What type of museum do you want to intern/work for and why: I want to work in a historic house or similar institution to engage the public in active learning opportunities that connect the past with the present.

What do you hope to contribute to a professional job/internship: I want to combine my experience in client and project management, writing, and learning design with my education in audience engagement to create memorable and impactful experiences for visitors.

What do you hope to learn in a professional job/internship: I want to learn the skills and knowledge necessary to become an impactful leader at a museum that serves the public with integrity.
