What fuels their passion for museums: I'm interested in preservation and education of historical events and objects; and I would like to inspire more people to grow an interest in these things.

Favorite museum memory: When I was traveling abroad for the first time, I was able to go to the Pergamon Museum in Berlin. There was a reconstruction of the Ishtar Gate using excavated pieces of the original gate from Ancient Babylon. I spent a while staring at the reconstruction and the details the museum recreated and their mimic of the use of blue glaze that was itself a mimic of lapis lazuli. The gate cemented lapis lazuli as a favorite precious stone of mine.
