Museum Studies (MA)

The Museum Education program at the University of the Arts gave me the opportunity to study something I was passionate about, both personally and professionally, and gave me the practical skills to pursue it.

Nhi Nguyen is currently the Early Childhood Programs Specialist at the Barnes Foundation. Before, she served in a variety of roles at the Greater Philadelphia YMCA, Please Touch Museum, and other cultural organizations in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. She spent her time at UArts primarily studying the intersection of early childhood museum education and anti-racist education which was the center of her graduate thesis, which led to co-authoring a textbook on the same topic. Her work is rooted in anti-racist, early childhood education and her greatest joy is working alongside littles to explore and learn new things about our communities and environment.
