Student Organization of the Year

Trina Edwards is a senior dance major who serves as the founding president of the UArts Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). The NAACP UArts Chapter works to establish community through various acts of service. They use their platform and creative outlets to inspire and cultivate an environment where they can define excellence for themselves while bringing together all people of color. The work of the organization aims to ingrain anti-racist values within the UArts community, from the student body to the administration.
