Tyler Econa (they/them) is a nonbinary Latinx artist, writer, and facilitator. Their work has been featured in places such as The Kennedy Center, Polyphony Lit Mag, Scholastic’s Best Teen Writing, as well as UArts’ own Underground Pool. Tyler's passion for intersectionality in all social justice issues motivates them to work towards greater change as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Fellow. They are honored to be accepting the 2021 Rising Star Student Leadership Award, and hope to continue honing their craft while giving back to the UArts community.
