Illustration (BFA)

I believe that in order for your work to progress you have to go head first and embrace your mistakes. Your own personal stories and experiences shape your work and give you your unique voice.

Alexandra is an illustrator who loves to work with the female form. Showing the female nude being embraced as a strong figure, and promoting self-love and care is key to her work. She exaggerates the figure to create wacky, zany characters. Alexandra embraces bold colors and uses them graphically, relying on composition to tell the story. Using these techniques, she evokes the power of being a female artist. Through the marriage of these concepts, Alex’s distinct style is brought to fruition. Alexandra was honored to be one of three finalists for the Society of Illustrators Zankel Scholarship in 2019. She studied abroad in Italy this past summer at SACI where she screen-printed pieces. These pieces influenced the direction of her thesis.
