Jon Baldwin

Jon Baldwin is a Philadelphia based artist. Baldwin maneuvers through the many pockets of the community of Philadelphia with his un-choreographic research guided by performance and writing practices. In May 2018, Baldwin received his BFA in Dance and was recognized for his Expressivity by the College of Performing Arts at the University of the Arts. As a student, Jon has performed works by Bobbi Jene Smith, Helen Simoneau, Sidra Bell, Bre Maples, and collaborative works by Lauren Baskt. Baldwin has also participated in CAMPING from 2017-2018, in process with international artists such as Simon Mayer, Miguel Gutierrez, Volmir Cordeiro, and Trajal Harell. Continuing education, Baldwin is currently an MFA Candidate at the University of the Arts, anticipating graduation in 2020. 

Baldwin is a Lecturer in the School of Dance at University of the Arts where he co-teaches Junior Seminar, a course focused on the development of students' individual choreographic research and artistic practices, as well as a project assistant in Sophomore Project Coaching Performance alongside Jesse Zaritt and Shayla-Vie Jenkins.
