Melvin Sutton (Raleigh NC) holds a BA in Rehabilitation Studies & Human services from Winston-Salem State University. He began his dance training under the direction of Susan Hill and Lisa Wilder. He has trained in a wide range of dance styles. He has performed and worked with Theatre of Movement arts organization directed by Duane Cyrus, North Carolina Black Repretory Company’s Black Nativity directed by Mable Robinson and more. He has had the pleasure to study dance with numerous luminaries such as Shani Collins, Baba Chuck Davis, Karen Mcdonald, Debbie Allen and more. While training with Ms.Allen, he had the opportunity to perform at the World Games Special Olympics with artists Stevie Wonder, and Becky G and J Balvin, both international artists. Melvin continues to grow as an up and coming artist and choreographer. Extending his choreographic service through MelLOWmovement, where he creates a blend of all styles from contemporary, hip-hop, and jazz. Melvin continues to seek more knowledge about dance and its connection with life and all cultures.
