Dance (MFA)

Mari Andrea Travis, born and raised in Baltimore, MD, is a multi-disciplinary artist, theatre director, and arts educator. Though interested in a vast array of themes and topics, Mari Andrea is deeply committed to work that tells honest, unapologetic, and lively stories of and related to the African diaspora. Her choreography has been seen at Baltimore Center Stage, Morgan State University, Coppin State University, and Georgetown University, to name a few. She has directed plays at various theaters in her hometown and assistant- directed plays at Baltimore Center Stage and Studio Theatre. Mari Andrea has performed with Shange Dance Productions and Trajectory Dance Project. She is founder and artistic director of Good Stuff On Stage, a community-dedicated arts training and presenting organization.
