Born and raised in Gainesville GA, 2015 Guggenheim Fellow Zoe Scofield is a dance and visual artist based in Seattle WA and NYC. In 2005 Zoe co-founded zoe | juniper with video and visual artist Juniper Shuey creating work for dance, video, photography and installations. They have been commissioned and presented by national and international arts centers such as American Realness Festival, Baryshnikov Arts Center, Bates Dance Festival, Boston Conservatory/ICA, CAC New Orleans, CalArts, Carolina Performing Arts/UNC, CNC Angers, Columbia College Chicago, Dance Theater Workshop/NYLA, DancePlace, FringeArts, Frye Art Museum, Jacob's Pillow, Myrna Loy Center, On the Boards, Pennsylvania Ballet, PS122's COIL Festival, PuSH Festival, REDCAT, Spectrum Dance Theater, The Joyce, Trafo House of Contemporary Art, Velocity Dance Center, Wesleyan University, World Music/CRASHArts, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.

Throughout her career Zoe has been awarded residences, awards and grants from the NEA, 4Culture, Artist Trust, City Arts Magazine, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, The Glenn H.
