Anna Beresin

Professor, Critical Studies Program

Anna Beresin leads CRIT classes like Analyzing Talk and Folklore and Folk Art as well as science courses like Observing Humans and Observing Children. She holds two PhDs from the University of Pennsylvania: one in Folklore and one in the Psychology of Education. Her area of specialty is children's folklore and the study of play and creativity. Her books include Recess Battles, The Art of Play, Group Motion in Practice and The Character of Play.  She is co-editor of the International Journal of Play, and enjoys really bad puns.
