Kevin Hetzel

Kevin Hetzel is an artist and educator living outside of Philadelphia working predominantly in charcoal and oil paint. Through the tight rendering of interior spaces, personal objects, and remnants of his sketch process, his work explores themes of identity through visual narratives in an attempt to discover subtleties within the world. Trying to decipher the actuality and intricacies of the objects and their relationship to the world, he studies their physicality, tonality, and personality using a palette consisting of earth tones.
