Laura Cull Ó Maoilearca is Reader in Theatre & Performance and Director of the Centre for Performance Philosophy, a research centre at the University of Surrey, UK launched in 2016. She has an interdisciplinary background: doing her undergraduate training in Fine Art at the Slade in London; her postgraduate work in Cultural Studies and Philosophy at Goldsmiths, before completing her PhD Drama at Exeter. Her books include Theatres of Immanence: Deleuze and the Ethics of Performance (2012); Encounters in Performance Philosophy (2014), co-edited with Alice Lagaay; Manifesto Now! Instructions for Performance, Philosophy, Politics (2013), co-edited with Will Daddario and Deleuze and Performance (2009). She is a founding core convener of the international research network, Performance Philosophy, joint series editor of the Performance Philosophy book series with Palgrave, and an editor of the Performance Philosophy journal. She is currently working on editing The Routledge Companion to Performance Philosophy with Alice Lagaay and on new research related to interspecies performance, and the work of François Laruelle.
