Position: Campus and Commuter Life Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Campus Life
Campus and Commuter Life Coordinator, a full-time, 12 month position includes full University benefits and professional development opportunities, as well as on-campus apartment and meal plan while in session. Responsibilities include campus programming, clubs and organizations, and commuter outreach. Campus and Commuter Life Coordinator should serve as an advocate for students by providing them with important information, resources, and engaging events. In addition to these responsibilities, this staff member serves as a member of the On-Duty team and as such, participates in a weekly on-call rotation and handles crises as needed.
- Under the direction of the Director of Campus Life, creates a vision for campus programming with an emphasis on wellness education throughout campus.
- Works with clubs and organizations on areas such as registration, executive board training, budgeting, program planning, and officer transition.
- Plans, promotes, and attends programs for commuter students.
- Assists with the planning and coordination of New Student Orientation by hosting the Student Activities Fair and participating in other Orientation related activities.
- In conjunction with the New Student Programming Coordinator, co-facilitates the Emerging Leaders program in the spring semester.
- Oversees the intramural sports on campus and maintains an ongoing relationship with 12th Street Gym.
- Creates robust senior activity programming.
- In conjunction with the other coordinators in Campus Life, plans the Student Leadership Awards.
- Serves in the On-Duty rotation.
- Assists in day-to-day activities as needed in the Office of Student Life including staff in-service.

- Minimum Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Education, Student Affairs, or similar area.
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in student activities, club and organization supervision, commuter programming, wellness education, and/or a related field.
- Must have excellent organizational and event planning skills
- Must have excellent organizational and event planning skills, and be able to work with a diverse population of students
- Must be able to organize large and small events, and create opportunities for educating the campus community about health and wellness related issues.
