Animation (BFA)

My friends and teachers have really kept me going throughout the years and I couldn’t thank them enough for believing I can do what seems like the impossible to many.

I’m Matt Renzulli and I’m a senior in the UArts animation program from York Pennsylvania.

I’ve been a 3D graphics generalist since about my sophomore year of high school and at the point of graduation my then-art teacher convinced me to pursue a career in what I love. So I came here to study animation and just become all-around better at what I do.

I always enjoyed the technical aspect of works that come out of studios like Pixar and Disney, but feel that the stories are too formulaic. I try to embody the antithesis of that in my work and spend a lot of time experimenting before achieving a final result.

I’ve enjoyed my time at UArts and I particularly enjoy the sense of community embodied by the animation department. My friends and teachers have really kept me going throughout the years and I couldn’t thank them enough for believing I can do what seems like the impossible to many.
