Art Education (BFA & MAT)

University of the Arts allowed the most creative part of me to be found and presented me with a new outlook on life itself.

I originally chose University of the Arts for the Art Therapy Program. I was interviewed and joined the Sculpture department, a program that was demanding in a positive way that pushed my limits as an artist and as a person.

The most successful part of my experience at UArts was learning the techniques as I was inspired to create work that was different from all of the other very talented artists around me.

The experience of attending UArts is one that has completely shaped me into the artist I am today. After UArts, I immediately put my work out there and received numerous large scale sculpture shows and commissions in the areas of Philadelphia and Atlantic City, New Jersey. I continued my education at UArts to receive my Master of Arts in Teaching Visual Arts, and graduated December 2017.

Iā€™m currently an art teacher for adults and children with special needs and plan to broaden my horizons with continuing exhibitions and teaching locally.
