A two-time winner of the Juror's Choice Award in UArts' Irvin Borowsky International Prize in Glass Arts competition, David King makes objects, installations, and drawings that address the transiency of human perception. After earning an MFA from Tyler School of Art, he was awarded a Fellowship at the Creative Glass Center of America at WheatonArts, and has also recently been an artist in residence at the Pilchuck Glass School, Sunderland University and STARworks glass lab.

David's work is currently part of the travelling exhibition Young Glass 2017 with stops in Denmark, Sweden and the UK. In 2018, he'll take part in the exhibition Symbiotic Spheres: The Interlocking Worlds of Glass, Science and Art at the Museum of American Glass in Millville, NJ.

David is also a founding member of the collaborative group, Flock the Optic, who combine glassblowing performance with interactive installation, sound manipulation and relational interventions.
